OITA -- A woman in her 50s in southwest Japan's Oita Prefecture died of heatstroke this summer after 11 medical institutions refused to accept her over mistaken fears she was infected with the coronavirus, the Mainichi Shimbun has learned.
The woman had requested emergency medical care after coming down with a fever during the explosive spread of the coronavirus's omicron variant this past summer.
