TOKYO -- Giant Typhoon Krosa is expected to maintain its strength and may make landfall in western Japan sometime from Aug. 14 to 15, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) warned on Aug. 13.
    The agency is calling for caution against violent winds, rough seas, river swelling and flooding and landslides in areas that could be hit by the typhoon, which the agency has classified as "very large."
